{ Week 3: Purple love }

My most favorite colour: all shades of purple though I also love rainbow colours.
I have a few pieces of accessories in purple. (earrings, scarf, bag, etc. perhaps I will draw them all one day in the future~ )

Links about colour:

  • You can check your birthday colour on Pantone, mine is lavender. :)
  • Daisy Yellow blog with posts about colour & inspiration.

Regarding Zakka, since I'm no good at explaining, I have included a link here.

and all it's varying shades....

Green is handsdown my favorite color. It can be warm, cool, vibrant, neutral, fresh, muted.... And it makes my eyes look stunning. This cowl is probably one of the favorite things I have made and that is largely due to it's color.

Hi!
Saw that there has been some confusion about the themes, I also think it is because some have posted things later than the said date. And then has next person announced the theme for next week, and another contribution from last week has arrived and etc etc... To me that´s ok, but it get´s a bit messy.. How do you feel? But the theme for this week was "home- litteral or abstract"
and the following theme is the colourtheme.
I want this blog to be fun and something to be inspired by, it´s not fun with a lot of rules but maybe there is a way to make it better?
Let me know what you think!

Memories..home.. :(

It's empty.. now. edit; I came back to this and thought I should explain a little more.. I went back to my old house, and took a walk by it. This is where I grew up, I know this photo may seem very plain, but looking at this is me imagining digging up the front garden, sitting in a kiddie pool in the garage, running through the front door, sleeping on a mattress in the living room. . That front window with the sticker used to be my room, I left the sticker there and nobody ever bought the house. I think I put that sticker there when I was 12 and I still remember exactly what it says (#1 B****) I was a vulgur child.

The Three Things that Make Me Shine with Glee.

P.S. My internet has been out for a few days, sorry I couldn't get this up sooner.

1.
ESCAPING FROM EVERYTHING AROUND ME.
Life is full of trouble and trouble waiting to happen. I may sound like a complete cynic, but it's a reality that we have to face at times. That's why going to my room, shutting the door and windows and just drawing or writing or singing can be so necessary sometimes. Not a power to be abused, but one to definitely be taken in moderation. You could very well argue that my other two points are a branch-off of this, because in whole, escaping is what makes me happy. Whether it's by listening to music, being with friends, or sleeping. Oh, bountiful sleep. A very good process of escaping I've found is my iPod. I would not be able to get through things without my iPod at my side. Let me show you some of my most played songs.

Hey Jude - Across The Universe.

Hide and Seek [Cover] - Cantatrice en Douleur

2. THEATRE
I'm a huge theatre nerd. I love watching it , acting in it, directing it, writing it, and promoting it. Being a self-diagnosed actor blatantly adds to the mix as well. My favourite type of theatre is in small venues. It adds to the personal aspect, as in a stage where you're able to walk right through the fourth wall if you'd very well decide to. You'd get in a hell of a lot of trouble, but you very well could. Another huge theatre nerd thing about me is my obsession with creative blocking. Jacky Le, a friend of mine, was in some Theatre up by UBC [University of British Columbia] and they had seats on three of the four sides of the stage. The blocking was amazing as it catered to all three sides. I would love to have the chance to block something like that.
A while ago, I saw the opening performance of 'Les Miserables' at the Arts Club. There's so much talent in Vancouver, it's amazing. There was this young 11-year-old boy playing Gavroche named Joshua Ballard, and I was floored. He was insane. The voice that came out of his mouth was trained, but not so trained that you would lose the rawness in his voice. And singing without losing a character isn't an easy thing, so I was very very impressed.

The cast of Les Miserables in their Act I Finale, "One Day More".

3. INSPIRATION
Writer's block can be quite fun at times. Not because I'm completely clueless, but because it gives me an opportunity to be inspired by a variety of things. One of which is an audio clip that never fails to exhilirate me. It's a monologue of sorts by Teller of Penn & Teller.
You can view my collection of Inspiration-filled goodness on my Tumblr account.
I hope you took trifled amusement from this peering into my mind. Gee, I wish there was more going on in there.

Things that make me happy

I couldn't decide on just three things that make me happy, this collage is one thing that makes me happy. Making collages, photography (nature, old barns, inanimate objects), crafting, traveling, photo-booths, nature, found art, creating found art, my mom, my friends, Bushmills and Ireland...just to name a few.

Seeing everyone's creations also makes me very happy!

Can't wait to see more!

3 Things that Make Me Happy :)

Hi! This is LeeMeow. (Some of my friends call me DinDin.)
It is great that we have a place to share what we love, what we created. Since I'm a visual person, most of my future posts are going to be photos showing what I love & what I made.
Enjoy!

1. Making collage/art journal pages makes me happy :).
(Some of the collage elements on this journal page are provided by Nancy of Crowabout.)

2. Lovely Japanese zakka magazines. I love looking at them, give me new ideas of doing page layout and how to shoot lovely photos.

3. Making zines makes me happy. This is my first mini zine I did for a swap. Planning on doing more in the future.

3 things

I originally was only going to post a video for you guys, but since they are no actual pictures in the video, I'll post the video and three pictures.

My little cousin, Alex

My pets

And after I made that video, I changed my mind, cause my one of my best friends makes me happier than gymnastics.
